Bridlington has some of the finest beaches in the country and the one
at South Shore is amongst the best. It's big, safe and has won many
awards. There are even donkeys for the little ones to ride !
Bridlington Harbour
Bridlington's historic
harbour is the centrepiece of the bustling seafront. Still a busy fishing
port, Bridlington's
fishermen bring their catch in every day to sell fresh from the sea
or send to local markets. These days they share the moorings with private
yachts, pleasure cruisers and sailing boats, all of which add to the
colour and charm of the harbour. There's plenty of fun to be had here
too. Set sail on a pirate ship, or fasten your seatbelts for thrilling
speedboat rides across Bridlington bay. Join one of the North Sea fishing
expeditions with the real experts or take a cruise along the spectacular
Heritage Coastline.
Historic Bridlington
Bridlington's Old Town comprises of the 17th
century high street, antique shops, craft shops and charming
cafes. St Mary's Priory Church is nearly 1,000 years old and is part
of what was once one of the largest and most important monasteries in
Norther England. You can visit the Priory Gatehouse, formerly a prison,
it is now the Bayle Museum. And in the market place you can still see
the
original stocks!
Bridlington Miniature Road
Train
The seafront road-train takes visitors to all the traditional attractions,
including funfairs and amusement arcades. It is a really fun way to see
what Bridlington has to offer and great for the children when you fancy
a rest. |

Bondville Miniature Village
This is a fscinating and beautiful village scene, there's even a harbour
with sailing boats and a train that chugs along. Set over a one acre
site there are over 200 buildings and over 1000 figures.

Park Rose Pottery and Leisure Park
A
working pottery, set in 12 acres of gardens and park land. The Owl
Sanctuary and Woodland Conservation area. This is a real educational
delight for both children and adults. Here you can see birds of prey,
a hatchery and an owl breeding program. There is also a huge kiddies
adventure playground that is fully supervised, should mum and dad need
some peace for a few hours! Perhaps while they browse around the onsite
clothes shop or relax in the licensed cafe.

John Bull Rock
John Bull World of Rock - Working factory with demonstrations illustrating
the manufacture of rock, sweets, biscuits and chocolates. Visitors
get the chance to make their own chocolate lollies or personalise their
own sticks of rock.
